Why does the camera say “permission denied”?

Most browsers require you to explicitly allow camera access per site. Click the camera/lock icon in the address bar and switch permission to “Allow.” If you’re not on HTTPS, switch to image upload scanning.

Why is my QR code not scanning after adding a logo?

Logos reduce the readable area. Use a higher error correction level (Q or H), keep logo size modest, and ensure the quiet zone is intact. Always test on multiple devices before printing.

Can qrfreetool create “dynamic” QR codes?

This site generates static QR images. If you want dynamic behavior, you typically use a short URL that you control and redirect it. You can still use UTMs for tracking—see our blog guide on trackable QR codes.

How do I make a QR that looks premium but scans fast?

Use strong contrast, keep the background clean, and avoid tiny QRs. Gradients can look great but must be tested. If you print, choose a larger size and a matte surface to reduce glare.

Do you store my scans or generated data?

No. qrfreetool is static and runs in your browser. We only save your theme and cookie choice in local storage to improve usability.

How long does support take?

We reply as soon as possible. Including device/browser details and the exact QR type makes it easier to diagnose issues quickly.
